Role Summary

A Quality Assurance and Testing Engineer to join a small and highly focussed product delivery team to take a key role in delivering the Cellcrypt mobile clients and server side products.

You will be responsible for Quality Assurance planning, preparing test deliverables, carry out testing activities and conducting a variety of roles within the testing.

You will take a key role in the continuing roll-out of the Cellcrypt mobile device applications on a variety of platforms including iOS (iPhone), Symbian, BlackBerry, Android and Windows Mobile. Building on your existing experience in one or more of these platforms, the dynamic environment encouraged by this company means there will be exciting opportunities to work across all platforms and in server-side developments.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Quality Assurance planning
  • Test Automation
  • Full software development lifecycle
  • Programming languages Java or C++
  • Scripting on Linux with at least one of: shell, perl, python, php
  • Client Server testing including TCP/UDP Data networking or VoIP protocols
  • Independently motivated and delivery-oriented
  • Mature and creative analysis and problem solving
  • Ability to interact constructively with colleagues at all levels
  • Eligible for, and willing to undertake, UK security clearance vetting if required 

Desirable

  • Mobile clients testing and test automation on Smartphones, e.g. Symbian, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, iPhone or Android
  • Manual and Automated Smartphones testing with the DeviceAnywhere application testing platform
  • Hudson continuous integration system
  • Test automation with Selenium, including Selenium-RC and Java with TestNG
  • Test Management systems such as RTH or HP Quality Center
  • Agile software development and testing
  • Server side product testing on Linux
  • Mobile telephony applications
  • Security architectures
  • Basic configuration of Asterisk or any other software PBX
